The instructional and creative strategies applied in gifted education help to develop potential in all children in the classroom by connecting them to real world learning experiences. All children benefit intellectually when individual strengths are challenged in an encouraging environment.

Many highly gifted individuals are vulnerable to underachievement and dropping out of school when academic needs and intellectual abilities are not recognized and supported by trained professionals.
